Where is Windows 8 Start Button?

The disappearance of the traditional start button is apparently a disruptive for users of Windows Consumer Preview 8. Microsoft assured, it's still there ... but in a different form.

With only the interface of Windows 8 Metro, Microsoft messes habits that Windows PC users can still find the interface more conventional office and run traditional applications. A typical office which is run as an application that is accessed Metro and especially not through a tile in the Start Screen.

But there remains a clearly disruptive to the Consumer Preview testers of Windows 8. The venerable Windows Start button broke down. Is that in almost 17 years of presence after an appearance in Windows 95 Start button had become almost a reflex for some.

Team member of Microsoft Windows, Kent Walter nevertheless asserts that the Start button "is always present" in Windows 8. A way with words to say it is still possible to do what it could be done previously with the Start button.

Kent Walter explained and made such reference to the sidebar that can be found right from your desktop with Charms also for research, configuration. Via the lower left corner (which can also switch Metro / Office) and right click, a menu can be displayed for quick links to some tasks.

Note however that a third party publisher like Stardock has a solution Start8 return to the Start button and the display features of Start Start in the Windows desktop 8. Other remedies are possible with such ViStart .
