Internet not only useful to facilitate the search for information. But it can also affect users who love life was considered to be more romantic.
In research it was stated that adults who have Internet access at home is much more romantic than adults who are not having access to these virtual worlds.
"This study shows that Internet access has an important role in helping Americans find a life partner," said Michael J. Rosenfeld of Stanford University and a lead author of the research.
As many as 82.2 percent of study participants who have Internet access at home also reported to have a romantic relationship with her partner. Compared with the level of romance participants who do not have access that is equal to 62.8%.
A national survey involving 4002 adults in which as many as 3009 people are known to have a romantic relationship with her partner .
Rosenfeld and J. Reuben Thomas from the University of New York also found the phenomenon that the Internet has become one of the social arena where the couple met each other.
"The increasing use of Internet in recent years have also increased the couple who met via the Internet," said Rosenfeld.
According to the internet someday might shift the position of a friend as the person most influential in bringing lovers. "The change is to be the first time since the 1940s," he added.
The study also considered that with the Internet, small groups such as gay, lesbian parents and the community became very easy to find.
"Most couples who met online is a person of the same sex and some have different religious backgrounds," said Rosenfeld.
