RIM Launches BlackBerry Protect




Manufacturer BlackBerry, Research In Motion (RIM) launched the "BlackBerry Protect", a new service to protect the user's BB. This service enables BlackBerry smartphone customers to backup and restore data as well as find the smartphone via their desktop computer.

Protect the new BlackBerry Service announced today are capable of protecting vital information on BlackBerry smartphones that have been lost by locking a particular device from the desktop. If the smartphone is lost, this service can display your contact information on the home screen or front screen while in the lock position.

BlackBerry users also can detect where the phone was, for some reason forgot to put down or stolen, through the cell tower and tracking using GPS devices.

Protect BlackBerry applications can also help find a way for the phone to activate the ringer sounds louder than distance. This service also allows users to back-up data, such as contacts, calendar, memo browser and messaging through Wi-Fi and be able to restore data to a new BlackBerry smartphone, or just switch from one BlackBerry to another BlackBerry.

Protect new BlackBerry service will be available in beta version starting this weekend. For the latest innovation that RIM is not wearing any cost or free.
