Avalanche death toll rises to 9 in France

The death toll from the avalanche occurred today in the region of Mont Blanc in the Alps in France rose to nine after rescuers find three more bodies this afternoon.
Four people remain missing, the French television channel TF1.
The avalanche occurred in Mont Maudit, the third highest mountain in the Mont Blanc massif.
Eight others were wounded in the deadliest avalanche years recorded in the French Alps.
It is believed that more than 20 people from France, Switzerland, Spain, Germany and Serbia participated in the expedition to climb.
The French Interior Minister, Manuel Valls, who has expressed his "deep sadness", later visited the accident site.
