Recently Google announced the completion of the new indexing web system called Caffeine. Caffeine is expected to provide 50 percent more fresh results to web searches from the last index, and this system has the largest collection of web content which we have to offer .. Is it news, blogs or forum posts, now you can find links to relevant content more quickly after being issued than ever before possible.
You need to know for those of you who do not build a search engine like Google is that when you search on Google, in fact you're not looking for a live web but you find it from Google's web index. This is just like when you see the index in a book that helps you find the right page for the material you are looking for.
So, why do we build a new index search system? Content on this web developing. These developments not only in size and number but with the development of videos, pictures, news and real-time updates, the average Web page is more varied and more complex. In addition, expectations of the public to "search" is higher than the first. The public wants to find the latest relevant content and the publisher / owner of the web hoping to be found quickly by the community.
To follow the evolution of the web and to meet the growing expectations of users, Google has built Caffeine. The figure below illustrates how our old indexing system works compared with Caffeine.
The old index has several layers, several updated with a faster rate than others; the main layer will be updated every two weeks. To refresh layers long index, Google will analyze the entire web, which means there is a significant delay between when Google finds a page and make it available to you.
With Caffeine, Google analyzes the web in small portions and update the search index continuously and globally. When these engines find new pages, or new information on existing pages, we can add directly to the index. That means you can find the latest information faster than ever-no matter when or where it is published.
Caffeine allows Google to index the web pages on a large scale. In fact, every second of Caffeine to process hundreds of thousands of pages simultaneously. If this is a pile of paper, it can be seen as a higher increase of three miles each second. Caffeine takes nearly 100 million gigabytes of storage in a database and adding new information on the level of hundreds of thousands of gigabytes per day. You will need the largest capacity of 625 000 from your iPod to store information that many, if this is connected one by one they will reach more than 40 miles long.
Google has built with the future of Caffeine in the Google engineers. With this allows us to build a search engine that is faster and more comprehensive scale in line with the growth of online information, and even provide more relevant search results for you. So look forward to continued progress is going on continuously until the months ahead.
